The lack of natural light contributes to the generally depressing atmosphere. Also, I've seen the Amtrak waiting area pretty full on a regular basis, I don't really think you could shrink it, and I can't figure a good alternate location. It isn't as bad as many people represent, it will never be as grand as what was, but it can certainly be better than it is. |
