ALL OUTSTANDING POINTS!There was also a general disrespect for landmarks that the destruction of Penn Station began to chip away at. I'm not arguing Lincoln Center wasn't a good thing (my wife would kill me if I said so), but you can see what the neighborhood was like in some of the scenes from West Side Story. Nowadays the nouveaux riches would be snapping those up as townhouses. |
