One dat when I was the T/D at Stl/Brighton (QJ) an R-9 train came in with a hot journal (remember those). I sent the train into CIYd and the Yd/Mast sent it right back since The cars were assigned to ENY Yd for maintenance and the C & S personnel at CIYd wouldn’t work on it. As the train passed K/Hwy tower N/B, the truck erupted in flames and the resulting delay tied up the Brighton line while the FD had to respond. |
