It's either that or the Queens Blvd local tracks. And there is not a whole lot of room for a third service on the QB local.The LIRR Main Line appears to have room for six tracks from Winfield Junction (PW Branch junction) to Whitepot Junction in Rego Park, where the Rockaway Beach line branched off. I suggest using the two southernmost trackways for the RB service. If there's not enough room through Woodside, then the subway tracks can branch underground through there - though that would make an expensive project even more expensive. |
