Depends -- if you're coming from lower Manhattan, this is often the more sensible route. You end up effectively backtracking if you take the subway up to Midtown and then get on NJT. (Put another way, it's 22 minutes WTC-NWK and 19 minutes NYP-NWK on NJT, and it takes quite a bit longer than 3 minutes to take the subway from lower Manhattan to Penn.)How long you hang around NWK waiting for an NJT train to EWR all depends NJT's schedule, unfortunately, which is sometimes good and sometimes not so much. |
