People are making longer trips and there at more people who need to get places in reasonable periods of time. And most of all the mass transit system as barely expanded. Because for the last 60+ years we have been spending public money on wider, faster roads at the expense of making travel for pedestrians and transit riders inconvenient and dangerous. That attitude is finally changing. |
