Hoyt/25th Ave/Astoria Blvd was the only 3 track express station built on that line.Elkeeper: You've done a lot of research into this. It seems that Ditmars Boulevard was an arbitrary place to end the line. Ditmars Boulevard it not the end of Astoria. Was any consideration ever given to extending the line say to Rikers Island or The Bronx or swinging it east to follow the north shore of Queens? Larry, RedbirdR33 |
