It also looks like the remnants of Hoffman Drive which still remain were to be eliminated.Woodhaven was widened 1938-1940. Looking north from Jamaica Avenue, 1910  It does look like Queens Boulevard ended up slightly north of where it's shown on the map, but the plan isn't exactly to scale, either. Notice that the plan shows the main road approximately equal in width to a single carriage road, while the cross section shows the carriage roads at 25 feet and the main road at 74 feet. |
