Seems he's more into the rolling stock than the viewpoint. I personally am glad that opaque R46 or M7 cab doors, or even slightly-transparent R160 cab doors are not preventing me from taking in those AirTrain views.I've used the AirTrain about 50% for actual travel to/from flights and 50% for fun. I'm also glad that when I'm actually traveling with heavy luggage that I'm finally off the subway/railroad and on equipment that was designed for airport passengers. I like the idea that you are welcomed by signage to JFK Airport while still in Jamaica. Once you pay the $5 in Jamaica, it really can feel as if you've arrived at JFK.  |
