Would it be possible to create a "Mail train". USPS would be the head customer. UPS, FedEx, etc would be sub-customer via contract with USPS. They would ship mail (and parcels and packages) through Manhattan via North River Tubes and East River Tunnels. Electric locos would come from Amtrak and NJT (AEM-7, ALP-44). CSX, NY & Atlantic, and P&W would provide the diesel electrics. |
