The pictures I've seen of these door systems, though they close off the tracks, make the platform area feel very narrow and confining - just what people need when they ride the subway.And this being NY, someone, kids, will figure out a way to get around the doors, on the first day they are installed. We will also lose clear sight of all the mosaic work along the walls of the tracks. This whole platform door debate is just another red herring. |
