We had the intention of moving back when she could take an early retirement & get out of the insurance rat race. Well, that time has arrived so I contacted my previous employer & negotiated a deal that is a win for everybody involved. Today I leave for our new digs in Blandon PA, living less than a mile from 40 to 50 freights a day on the Norfolk Southern's Reading Line. Karen will follow in about 3 months.So Sunday I made a swing thru Vogeland one last time as a resident of Marlton. I'll miss the variety:       The Pavonia ready tracks were packed with power, typical for a Sunday. BTW #4294 there on the left is the last active ex-Chesapeake & Ohio GP39 (not Dash 2) on the CSX roster. Production of the model spanned only 13 months from June 1969 to July 1970. C&O bought 20 on order #7157 with a build date of July 1969. Like the more numerous Dash 2 version, a V12 645 series prime mover with a turbo delivers 2300 HP. Only 23 of the locomotives were built, with Atlanta & St Andrews Bay buying one & Kennecott Copper the other two. #2771 is an ex-Conrail GP38-2 from the 1978 order:
