"Of the three worker deaths during the construction of the bridge, one occurred when Gerard McKee, 19, fell through a gap where a portion of the chicken wire sidewall had been removed from a catwalk. The handsome, well-liked son of a veteran "boomer" (a bridge construction worker), he had followed his father into the risky trade. McKee slipped off the catwalk and was hanging by one hand when spotted by another worker, Edward Iannelli. Tragically and ironically, the dangerous nature of heavy construction and bridge-building had sealed McKee's fate: Iannelli's left hand had been permanently mauled in a previous bridge construction accident, and Iannelli was unable to drag McKee back to safety. When McKee finally lost his grip, the wind tore the shirt from his back as he plummeted nearly 300 feet to the water below."From Wikapedia...No mention of anyone being buried in concrete anywhere.
