How about building a port somewhere on Long Island instead of unloading ships in New Jersey and trying to figure out how to get the containers to Long Island.Problem with that idea is ships would have to call at 2 ports to off load their cargo. Once for shipments to Long Island and again for shipments to the mainland. The majority of the traffic carried on the car floats is coming from mainland.
