No. 2nd Avenue (outside of the CBD) NEEDS a full fledged subway. No doubt about it.LRVs would be better on the Avenues, but that would take so much crap to get it accomplished that there is no way it could turn a wheel before 2040 at the earliest. On the Other hand, putting up some Jersey Barricades to create bus lanes can be done overnight. The purchase of more LONG bendy beese can be accomplished in a year. THAT will relive crowding on the subways in the intra-CBD traffic. ROAR |
