It has been over 2 months since I posted in this thread, but I also talked about this at the transit forum of AARoads, and as a modification, perhaps the Gold Line can be routed to turn north/south at either Priest or Mill instead of Dobson. This would reduce overlap with the Red and Blue Lines, as too many lines on such a long segment may lead to train bunching.BTW, I personally think the Pink, Purple, and Brown Lines would be quite popular with mall shoppers. The Pink Line would connect Superstition Springs Center with SanTan Village and Chandler Fashion Center, the Purple Line would connect Superstition Springs Center with Arizona Mills, and the Brown Line would connect Chandler Fashion Center with Scottsdale Fashion Square. The Orange Line would also connect Chandler Fashion Center with Arrowhead Towne Center, although it is quite a long way. |
