The words remained the same, at least on the original text. Our definition of these words has changed. People keep on translating scripture, trying to put it into an idiom that is readily understood by today's reader, yet they put their own interpretation on it as they go.God got smarter after that. The Koran has check-sums put there by Allah to protect it from alteration. Obviously, these only work in the Arabic, but then it is only valid as Koran in the Arabic, and all else is just a translation. |
