Even if the Rockaway line is reopened as a subway...dunno. Everyone wants a faster way into Manhattan or at least to a desirable destination. The Atlantic branch only goes to downtown Brooklyn, and it would need fairly frequent service (~15 min intervals), maybe even free transfers, to prevent people from just getting on the A train to downtown Bklyn. |
