heres a little bit of forgotten transit history.when grant ave was the terminal station of the fulton st.el in the far off days of steam trains,a long island based trolley company called the long island electric co.built a single track masonary ramp up to track level.you left the trolley, walked to a small ticket office and up the stairs to a waiting steam train.it lasted about 5 years until a local farmer with clout protested enough to have the ramp removed.there are no known photos of this ramp, just a hand drawing.
