"I'm sure riders wouldn't mind an R train shuttle 36-95th that ran every 8-10 minutes like clockwork. D and N are local most upcoming weekends 36-DeKalb to pick up the slack, and the IRT can pick up the slack Atlantic-Court/Boro Hall like they did for the past 14 months during the tunnel shutdown. (Shuttle buses would not be needed.)"

I admit that I am not exactly clear just where the track work is taking place. It may make sense to remove the trains as much as possible from that scene, rather slow the trains down to intolerable time lengths, and train bunching. Again from the MTA-website descriptions, I also was not sure if the D & N trains are making local stops or not. If the D & N are making the local stops your suggestion makes sense.

All in all - I think we agree that the MTA could do something to reduce the long wait times between the trains, complete the track work, and not screw up travel for R-train riders (over all) as much as possible.
