Both railroads have the same policy - difference in fare if you have a single ride or round trip or peak 10 trip, one way fare between zones if you have a weekly/monthly pass.

10 trip off peak extensions are complicated, because they're discounted.

Step up fares is the difference between the peak fare and the fare you paid (off peak one way price, or 1/10 of 10 trip ticket)

ALL onboard purchases, except by senior/disabled passengers or those boarding at no-TVM stations, are rounded up to the nearest dollar.
