(F) Train In Near-Miss With Huge Drill Bit In Queens Tunnel

A packed midday (F) train was almost cut open by a huge drill bit being used on the East Side Access project, MTA officials said today. The tool, which was drilling from above ground, grazed the top and side of a passing (F) train near the 21 St-Queensbridge station. Although no one was injured, this was a VERY close shave...no pun intended.
