People would get rid of their jars of pennies by spending them in MVMs.When post offices had stamp vending machines they took pennies. I once got caught behind some people who were buying stamps with pennies. I think stamps were 39 cents at the time. They deposited 39 pennies and bought a stamp and deposited 39 more pennies and bought another stamp and on and on. I decided mailing my credit card payment could wait until tomorrow. |
