Actually, less than a quarter of people now exclusively work "normal day shift hours" as I understand it. Most do work SOME of those hours, but many for instance work say Noon-8:00 PM or 4:00 PM-Midnight and that is an increasing part of our economy. The idea is those who MUST travel in peak periods pay more but the rest, especially if they can work flexible hours paying less to travel.The idea is reduce crush-loading at peak periods and spread out ridership at other times. |
