The Lo-Vs and non GOH BMT steels had 6 groups of 5 120V bulbs in series so that each bulb was 120V the same as household current. The R-1/9s and GOHed BMT steels had all the bulbs in the car in series and since there were 20 bulbs per car that meant that those bulbs were 30V instead of 120. |
