Regular electric service between GCT and High Bridge began Dec. 13, 1906. It was extended to Wakefield the following month. On March 16,1910 it was extended to North White Plains and on March 2, 1913, extended to Croton. The freight line from Spuyten Duyvil to the 30th Street yard was electrified in 1931.By 1957 the electrified freight lines and yards tracks had the third rail removed. |
