It would have been great if, on the 100th anniversary, instead of laying up north of Grand Central, then going south of GC then switching to the S.bound exp. track, (I think they did that didn't they?) so the train could switch to the former S.Bound local track, the lone Lex connection to the shuttle station (orig. GC) they just wrong railed it from City Hall sta. north on the southbound track directly into GC.Of course that would have meant barring all Lex southbound locals from GC north for what? half an hour or so? And heck, this was ten years ago anyway.... |
