Making allegations about someone being convicted of statutory rape is very low much lower then him complaining about your hygiene. Except that I never made any such allegation. Most people can understand the difference between: "X is true" and "according to your logic, X must be true." Maybe you should approach people nicer... Except for Fred and Selkirk, I'm probably the most civil person on SubChat who doesn't stay out of debates entirely— if you look at me and GP Chris and think I'm the one who needs to be "nicer," then maybe your own social skills could use some work. Just in this very thread, note: innocuous statement from me draws unprovoked attack from Chris. I brush it off, he doubles down on the attack. I haven't had to deal with that for a long time. I haven't revealed to SubChat exactly what I started doing differently, because it would likely result in a lot of deaths by irony poisoning. ... or people arguing with you as much. We'll argue as long as we disagree (ie, likely forever) but if they could learn how to keep the arguments civil there would be a lot less vitriol and pies involved. |
