Glad to see that the platform extenders have poles and chain to prevent people from falling in.Sometime between 1967 and 1971 I was on a s/b Lex Express on the way to classes at Pace College (now University). The train stopped at 14th Street, and stepped out of the way to let some people off. The next thing I know, my backside is on the platform, the left leg is between the platform and the train, and my right leg is bent but on the platform. Luckily a few businessmen grabbed me under the arms and picked me up. I got back on the train after quite a scare. |
