It's not safe to be on that right of way because of the overgrowth and the poor condition of the OP platform.Overgrowth shouldn't really be a safety factor and while I wouldn't walk on the platforms the roadbed should be fairly solid. Don't put yourself at risk of injury, or arrest due to trespassing. I don't see how it's trespassing. It's completely open, basically abandoned, and people are encroaching onto the ROW at various points. I'd hardly be the first person to take a stroll down the unofficial rail trail. Look at it from the street. That tends to limit the vantage points given that the station is way up on an el. To answer your next question, the Woodhaven Junction station above Atlantic Avenue is still there. "Above?" Can it be accessed any more readily than Ozone Park? |
