I can't recall where I read it, butI seem to recall reading that 145 St station was built as an afterthought. Originally, the tracks to 148 St Yd were to be strictly yard leads but somewhere along the way it was decided to construct a station at 145 St possibly to take advantage of passengers who might transfer from Bronx streetcars. |
