When was the Newark Branch cut back to South Paterson?

Spider: When the Erie-Lackawanna discontinued service through downtown Patterson in April 1963 it routed the Main Line trains over the Lackawanna Boonton Line between West End and Patterson Junction. Trains then ran over a re-built Newark Branch between that location and Patterson (Market Street). This section of the Newark Branch was re-designated the "Main Line" probably in October 1963. Newark Branch passenger trains would continue to operate over this section of track up until 1966.
