Kings Highway local trains have been terminating there for years!" It *can* physically do it (sort of) but a LOCAL, in rush hour practice, cannot relay at KH when that track is needed by the express. In the early days of the line, all steel cars terminated at KH, and only wooden cars continued on to CI, this due to a shortage of steel cars which were needed back in the tunnels as soon as possible. Not only do you have to keep an eye on the tracks, but also on the clock, and the railroad. Trains can be scheduled to arrive and depart correctly, but a delay of 60 seconds can scramble that plan like a pan of eggs. Efficiency is the ruling factor. ROAR |
