They did that before, so it really boggles the mind why they won't do it again. "Because there is heavy ridership going to Queens along Broadway. I happen to have been on one those R trains that ran via D/M and it was empty after Dekalb all the way to Queens Plaza because of confusion. Many people don't check the weekender or bother to read signs posted on platform pillars. 59/Lex looks like weekday rush hour on a Saturday when tons of people wait for an R that never arrives. The objective is not only to get a train from 95th to CTL but also to serve customers. Sure in the event of a stalled train or severe backup along Broadway the D/M is the way to go. |
