I respect Selkirk as one of the most knowledgeable posters on this boardI wish I could feel the same way, but I can't. By his own repeated admission, he does not take this place seriously at all. And that is reflected in his responses. So many of his posts contain factual errors, even on subjects that you'd think he'd be very knowledgeable about. And then when you point this out to him, his response is not very reassuring. Instead of admitting he made a mistake and pledging to work to correct the process that resulted in him making a statement as fact that was in fact not factual, he gives some lame excuse about only being on this forum for the entertainment value. So as I've shown, it doesn't really make sense to respect SelkirkTMO as "one of the most knowledgeable posters on this board". but I have wondered for a long time what the "TMO" in his handle stands for.5th result down in my Google search results list.
