The two BNSF engines came in with an oil train that originated in North Dakota on BNSF. It's more efficient to keep the engines on the train than to swap when NS gets the train. The NS engine had to be added because of cab signals on the NS line between Pittsburgh and Harrisburg.
The CP engine came to NS on a train that interchanged from CP to NS and NS chose to keep the engine for a while. This is routine, and the railroads keep track (pun intended) of who owes whom via horsepower hours. When one railroad owes another more than they are comfortable with, they send their worst engines to the other railroad to repay the horsepower hours.
