I haven't taken the time to read every post in this long thread, so if this has been mentioned, sorry for the extra post....but I'm just going to be a bit silly here.... I lived in Boston for many years, with its large Irish American population, and I never heard any objection to the named "Orange" line. Though it would not surprise me, if the Red line had been named the Orange line instead, that there might have been grumblings from "Southie" (South Boston) about this... |
