If this is true in the long run, a bit of luck for Southwest Siders. Sorry, but longitudinal seating in Chicago is an abomination before the Lord and George Krambles, a fact which CTA has tacitly acknowledged by going back to a much higher mix of transverse seating in the planned 7000 series.Ah, well, they're only stuck with the 5000s for the next 40 years or so.
