Lately, aside from the capped Bomb train being towed to MO, I have been lucky enough to catch a few other NEC and NH Line catches too!!

First off, an Amtrak Track Structure Assessment Vehicle made an appearance yesterday on the NH Line. While I was on stand-by, I went outside the yard office to snap a few shots as MNR RTC District E held it at CP 234.....

Earlier today, Amtrak A172, DC to Boston, arrives with a nice, new Siemens ACS-64, #614, on the point with 9 Amfleet I wagons, arriving on Track 2 at Stamford......

Of course, a video was made!!!

And lastly, a RARE sight during an NEC evening rush (I was picking up my eldest daughter from the train while my wife, my other 2 daughters a nephew were waiting by my daughter's place a short way away....equals railfanning!!).....an NEC Conrail Shared Assets freight, a Metuchen Yard based local, led by CSX GP38-2 2798 and a former Conrail Philadelphia Division "crummie", "hack", or simply caboose, buried behind the 2798, passing eastward (northward) on NEC Main Line 4-Track past Edison Station (NJT NEC), as an Amtrak "Hippo"-equipped Regional blasts by on Track 2 and NJT MLVs on Track 1 westward (southward) to Trenton......

This Conrail freight seems to run often, as I have spotted this freight in the 1700 to 1900 (5 pm to 7 pm) time frame several times on weekdays. So anyone NEC railfanning between North Elizabeth and Jersey Avenue may wanna have your camera handy!!!

Thank you for viewing!!! Hope you have enjoyed!!! :-)
