Some additional information about the R142 delivery: After crossing the Hell Gate bridge on flat cars, the cars were delivered to Fresh Pond Yard where the R142's were ramped down to track level (because of clearance issues in the ENY freight tunnel), then hauled by MTA diesels to Linden Shop yard. |
