Posted by Gold_12th on Wed Aug 20 21:58:19 2014 Object/Purpose of ProjectThe purpose of this project is to rehabilitate the existing Nostrand Avenue Station and provide ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act)-compliant accessibility to the station platforms. This station is located in Brooklyn on the Atlantic Branch, and consists of two elevated side platforms. The station is located on a viaduct and is currently not wheelchair accessible. Units/Locations/Limits Nostrand Avenue Station (Atlantic Branch). Summary Work includes replacement of the station platforms and platform substructure, railings, stairs, canopy system, station lighting, electrical and communications system, and signage, along with the installation of two new elevators and general improvements to site accessibility. The budget for this project is $27.50 million. This request is for $27.50 million. page 51 |
