Posted by Gold_12th on Tue Aug 19 17:51:05 2014 Proposed Program of Projects Federal Fiscal Year 2015Agency: New York City Transit Project Name: Purchase B-Division Railcars R211 ACEP ID: T6010104 Planning Number / PIN: CM09-6891 Object/Purpose of Project: This project will purchase R211 railcars for the New York City Transit's B-Division fleet, which will operate on its lettered routes. These cars will replace 752 existing R46 cars due for retirement. Units/Locations/Limits: Subway cars for operation on B-Division, lettered routes. Summary: This project will purchase R211 railcars for the replacement of 752 existing R46 cars due for retirement. Design features will incorporate state of the art systems including components to make the railcars Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) ready and compliant to the latest ADA requirements.
