I loved my one-time ride on the Wall Streeter or Crusaser in 1976, and it even had a FRIENDLY, sociaable (unlike Amtrak) sit down lunch-counter like snack bar. The fare was $5 and change. The trains were 2 cars and 3 cars.But the farebox recovery must have been like 10 - 20%. |
