As for the FRA, there may be ways to work around that. Once built I doubt they would shut down an operating NYC transit service over a technicality.If LIRR service to Chambers Street was nixed a century ago, there's no way it'd be allowed today when the car weight difference is higher and people are more concerned about safety. |
