The "existing stations" would need to be compltely rebuilt. The only existing ones are Parkside (Metropolitan Ave), and Ozone Park, but both are in complete shambles, not to mention never upgraded for modern transportation. They would also have to be ADA compliant....60 years is way to long to be considered "grandfathered in", lol.
The other stations were Brooklyn Manor (Jamaica Ave), but made of wood, and totally removed decades ago, and Rego Park on the mainline, also made of wood and removed.
