The ALP44 are gone because they had bad traction

Oh come on. NJT and their BS excuses. Amtrak can run the AEM-7s for 36 years without "traction problems" and NJT has such "problems" with the ALP-44 derivative. The ALP-46s are lighter, so how come they somehow don't have such "traction problems"? (or maybe they will when NJT slacks on the maintenance like they slack on maintaining everything else?)

They couldn't handle the HEP on the MLV's either

That BS again, eh. That's on the MLVs rather than the locomotives. There's only 150 horsepower difference between the 44 and 46.
