Fast Track operations inconveniences many people all over the city.

About a week after this Fast Track operation, the entire A-line north of 59th Street-Columbus Circle is shut down, requiring Harlem and Washington Heights riders to use the #1 train and a series of shuttle buses. During the same period D-train riders to/from the Bronx have to contend with the D-train cut into 2 sections, transfers between the #2 and #4 trains, and shuttle buses. Of course both the B and C train lines end their operations early.

On the G-line, there's a 5-week tunnel repair operation going on that shuts down the G-train in Long Island City due to Hurricane Sandy filling the tunnels with 3 million gallons of salt-water. A shortened G-train and shuttle buses will attempt to replace service.

On the R-line, the on-going 14 month Hurricane Sandy tunnel repair operation severed the R-train into 2 segments, hampering the trips for 30,000 daily R-train riders that used to use that pathway.

Various repair and renovation operations inconveniences many people all over the city.

Mike
