THAT is NOT the same way they did it in 1914!No wonder it takes so long! Hell it's not even the same way it was done in WMATA land back in the 1970s and 80s in their stations bored out of the bed rock. The only poured in place concrete between the station end walls was the track, platform and mezzanine slabs. The rest of the concrete was cast in an off site factory, shipped to the station site and assembled like Lego's in the hollowed out gallery. John in the sand box of Maryland's eastern shore. |
