If they get an older train the conductor will hopefully announce it manually. Also, if they have the time I would advise them to take the Q. They get spectacular views of the lower Manhattan skyline and the Brooklyn Bridge from the right side of the train as it crosses the bridge; also (unlike the N) it runs above ground from Ave H to Stillwell Av. A second choice would be the D which gives good views of southern Brooklyn from the el south of 9th Av. |
