Posted by Train Man Paul : Metro-North's Best Conductor FOR ALL 3 LINES!!! on Tue Jul 22 18:52:16 2014 Much as the title suggests, and thanks to the J Line this past Saturday, it was definitely all about R-32s and R-42s, and did they ever dominate!!!!Come take a look!! :-) From 121st Street to Parsons-Archer & back, the R-32s and R-42s were plentiful!! 121st Street..... A minority R-160 shows up first..... But that's gonna be it, because the Ol' School now takes over..... This ride takes me to Parsons-Archer..... But I decide to stop off at Sutphin Blvd. first..... And catch the tail end of my ride..... And after which I shot this on video..... And got a still shot too before jumping on and heading off to Parsons-Archer..... More R-32s and R-42s abound at Parsons-Archer. .... R-32 & R-42 side rollsigns, respectively..... Now, time to hit the road. Here are two videos, with associated stills, as my new Samsung Galaxy S5 is capable of still shots while shooting video, so I tried those capabilities out..... R-32 RFW leaving Parsons-Archer, and note the Parsons-Archer bound R-42 consist across the platform at Sutphin..... R-42 4788 sports the original MTA "M" logo..... Onward to 121st Street..... As we approached 121st Street, another set of R-32s departs for Parsons-Archer (shot while recording) A couple more from 121st Street..... The ol' schooler meets a new schooler..... Thank you all for viewing. Hope you have enjoyed!! :-) P.S., All photos in this post we done using solely my Samsung Galaxy S5 camera, and this entire post was done using only the phone. All photos also cropped and adjusted according using the photo edit capabilities of the Galaxy S5. I hope everything came out well, and hope you enjoyed the fruits of my labor....labor of love!!! :-) |
